Create Quality Technical Charts

NEW Axum 7 For engineers, scientists, researchers, analysts, and technical professionals worldwide, Axum is the standard for producing publication-quality graphs.

Axum lets you control every detail of your graph or chart, customizing it to your exact specifications. Based on version 4 of the powerful S language, Axum 7 boasts enhanced Excel integration, new statistics tests, new plot types, updated support for importing and exporting data, additional formatting options, faster data access to graphics, new project management organization, and more. With unmatched visualization capabilities, robust data analysis tools, and superb interoperability, Axum 7 is the powerful, easy way to give your technical work the professional look you want.

What's new in Axum 7

New or enhanced graphics features include:
  • A probability plot comparing probability distributions.
  • A quality control chart, the Pareto plot. The Pareto plot is a bar plot sorted on the dependent variable combined with a line plot displaying cumulative percentages of the categories (bars).
  • Additional formatting options for box plots to provide increased flexibility and customization, including:
    • Horizontal orientation
    • User-defined box widths
    • Separate colors for each box
    • For simple box plots, whiskers that extend to 90th and 10th percentiles with no outliers drawn
    • New options for using quartiles and fourths (hinges)
  • Simultaneously export all the pages of a multipage Graph Sheet.
  • Specify the precision to use when inserting a curve-fit equation.
  • Enhanced PowerPoint Wizard, making it unnecessary to save your Graph Sheets to disk before using them in a presentation. In addition, you can now export specific pages, as well as all pages, of a Graph Sheet at one time.
  • Improved axis labeling when time/date variables are used.

More built-in data analysis tools

Use Axum’s extensive data analysis tools to reveal complex patterns and relationships in your data.

Axum 7 offers the following new statistical techniques:

  • Perform the Shapiro-Wilk test for normality. This test has better power properties when compared to Pearson’s chi-squared, Komogorov’s, and other tests for a variety of commonly encountered alternatives.
  • Compute the Durbin-Watson test statistic. This test is used to test the residuals in a linear model for serial correlation.
  • Skewness and kurtosis available from the command line.

In addition, key statistical functions, such as linear regression, now operate on large data sets.
